However, November is peak season for the Taurid meteor shower (both Southern and Northern branches), which is well-known for producing bright, slow-moving fireballs — large, exploding meteors that can light up the sky dramatically. The Taurids have been active throughout the month, with heightened fireball activity noted in some years when Earth passes through denser debris from Comet Encke. The Leonid meteor shower is also ongoing (peaking around November 16–17), but it’s less fireball-prone this time.
