Shine the Light
California’s “Shine the Light” law permits California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of “personal information” (as defined by the “Shine the Light” law) to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. If you are a California resident, you may request information about our compliance with Shine the Light by contacting us at privacy@essex.com, or by sending a letter to us at Essex Property Trust, Attention Legal Department, 1100 Park Place, Suite 200, San Mateo, California 94403. Requests must include “California Privacy Rights Request” in the first line of the description and include your name, street address, city, state, and ZIP code. Please note that we are only required to respond to one request per customer each year. This right is different than, and in addition to, CCPA rights, and must be requested separately. However, a Do Not Sell/Share opt-out is broader and will limit our disclosure to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes without the need for making a separate Shine the Light request.
Essex offers multiple apartment communities in Marina del Rey, and there is also a condominium building called Essex House.
Essex apartment communities
The real estate investment trust Essex Property Trust operates several apartment communities in the Marina del Rey area.

Essex House Condos
This is a separate, individual condominium building, not an Essex-operated apartment complex.
- Location: Built in 1976, Essex House is located on the exclusive south end of the Marina Del Rey peninsula at 5205-5209 Ocean Front Walk.
- Features: It features spacious beach-front residences, some with multiple fireplaces and private rooftop decks offering expansive views.
- For sale: Unlike the Essex apartments, units at Essex House are individually owned and appear on the market for sale.
